Historic ‘bomb cyclone’ sets off severe storms, flooding, and a ‘dangerous’ blizzard in Plains and Midwest

I can tell you this storm was the worst I’ve seen at my place. After two days with good rain we were hit with 80 mph winds all day yesterday and into the early evening hours. My roof is totaled but I’m not surprised after seeing the force of the wind over such a long period of time. Something is definitely not right with our weather. “Bomb cyclones” appear to essentially be hurricanes over land as you can see in the screenshot. I didn’t go to meteorology school, but I can’t say that I remember seeing these kind of things in my 45 years on this earth.
