Do we ignore false teaching for the sake of peace?
There is a train of thought by many today in the modern church where it’s said we should not judge for the sake of unity, more so, we should just love one another regardless of our different views and allow people to listen to whomever they want. It sounds good, it sounds reasonable, but the problem is, it’s a compromise which is not only dangerous, once it begins to be followed, it will produce spiritual death.
The word of God states in Ephesians 5:11 “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.” What Paul the Apostle was saying is, when someone is preaching or teaching false doctrine that is contrary to the word, we have a moral duty to expose that teaching as heresy, not partake of it (accept it).
